Hold up, they're not turning the frogs gay. Turns out if you eat high doses of 100% ketaconazole per day (800-1200 mg/day) then yes, roughly 20% developed enlarged breasts but this is 1% ketaconazole and you are not eating it simply shampooing. Clinical studies conducted for FDA approval (NDA 20-310) found that even with frequent use (4 to 10 times per week over 9 months), ketoconazole was not detected in the plasma of subjects and most high-quality clinical trials report it as "below detection limits" (typically less than 2 ng/mL). So it turns out you would literally need to drink a full 7oz bottle of nizoral every single day for 9 months to have a 20% chance of seeing that side effect. I've been using it almost every day for the last 10 years (still have a full set of hair when all my brothers and cousins went bald early around high school). Ketaconazole is considered one of the big 3 of hair retention.

Ketoconazole supposedly helps with hair loss too. This particular product was mentioned by my personal doctor on Youtube for that purpose .

A lot of people with eczema, psoriasis, seb derm, etc. will use the shampoo as a face/body wash.
So if you do that, use the shampoo, but for only on your hair I'm sure the 2:1 is fine also.

this has been the only shampoo that worked with my dandruff. At least for me, after doing the 5 consecutive initial treatment, i only had to use it about once or twice a month to maintain mostly dandruff free

It has gotten crazy expensive.

Also, careful where you buy this stuff from. Apparently there's a lot of fake stuff showing up. I got a fake bottle from Amazon a few years ago. Don't know if it's gotten better with the newer inventory system.

This is the bigger size. Normal size is 7oz vs this 14oz so 2x bigger than normal.

Pretty sure you're thinking of Propecia/Finasteride and even then the side effects you mention aren't nearly as common as people make them out to be
