This is a horrible, horrible price for a non-XL model. I paid $270 for the Pro Connect XL with a cover at Sam's Club last year this time. Not to mention this model is stripped down from the previous non-XL model. No access to an app to control and monitor the device from your phone, which is honestly outstanding to have compared to a thermometer that you just stick in to monitor. They released it sometime last year, likely for cost cutting, but charging the customer the same. But at the end of the day, I can recommend only getting an XL.

Thoughts on similar model for $199? Non-XL? Knowing that Sam's no longer sells Ninja Woodfire grills, so you probably got it at that price while they were clearing them out

I don't believe so because it was just the monthly sale, not clearance. They were still selling it at normal price for many months after, until the end of the grilling season. But I wouldn't get the non-XL at all. I've had quite a few times were the XL was barely enough to fit something. I would rather get a used or refurbished XL model if I wanted to keep the price down. All the retailers have the Pro Connect for $400 atm, which I would honestly pay. And usually you can find a 10% off code from ninja website.
