Just for reference, the M5 price of the same 13" MBA, M5, 24/512 GB configuration: $1,199 from Apple's education store. This may seem surprising until you realize that 512 GB storage is the new baseline, meaning this was two upgrades on the M4 (ram + storage) and only a single upgrade on the M5 (just RAM). So it has made the prices unusually close.
If you purchased this in December, before the M5, I think it made sense at this price. But if you should buy this in March for $50 less than the M5? Hmm harder sell in my opinion.
PS - Difference between the M4 and M5: 21% faster memory bandwidth, WiFi 7, and Bluetooth 6. The single/multi-core is a typical generational improvement, while the GPU improvement is notable (potentially due to direct improvements and the memory bandwidth improvements on top).
