Highly recommend the new Pro version hub over this if getting into the Hue ecosystem.

Why? I know it increases your cap of lights it can control. Anything else?

Thank you, OP. I was able to place an online pickup order last night at the clearance price. The item is ready for pickup in the locker. Surprisingly, the price now shows back up to its regular store price.

Make sure to look if you go in store. A few weeks ago mine had this as well as bulbs at 75% off. I got a few color ambiance 1100 lumen starter packs for $55 and 10' solo light strips for $20.

Much faster, and realistically the cost of Hue components overshadows the cost of the hub, if you're going all in.

I've also been burnt by other IOT devices being 'sunsetted' once a newer version comes out. Hue has been pretty good about obsolescence, but I'm still wary about the earlier hubs losing support like Samsung did with smartthings.
