Yeah, and it is really going to look pretty ugly (big black thing on your ceiling). It's real use case is to hang in a loft where an angled ceiling makes it difficult to put a tv on the wall.

Its functionality runs backwards. You want cord and pulley function and you want it to flop/lower down towards the wall, not away from a wall into the middle of the room. It could be on 2 long bars from a mounting bar where the wall meets the ceiling, so it could lower down to a proper viewing height.
Why would you do this I don't know, maybe you want a bookshelf on that wall so you want the TV to go away
