I just installed the front part of this. If you get the hardwire kit, make sure to get the one including the fuses. My ID10T self bought the cheaper one which didnt include the fuses...

I have A129 PLUS 2 channel in my Santa Fe. Wanted to upgrade to 4K but than I have to pay a lot at bestbuy to replace the hardwire cables as mine is mini usb. I ain't DIY. Wonder if the newer ones have easier access to videos? I mean like easy to see the videos from the dashcam on my iphone to show to law enforcement in case of accidents?

You just connect the app to the dash cam Wi-Fi network and then you can view videos on your phone. And can download them faster now that they have 5ghz band

The VIOFO app for A129PLUS is a trash. Maybe the camera is too old for this. The videos play only for like 2 seconds in app and gets stuck. If I play the video with the MICROSDCARD on my computer, it works fine.
I've installed VIOFO dash cams in several vehicles. I have no complaints with VIOFO cameras. The only issue I do have is that WIFI access is effectively useless if you're running wireless CarPlay. I've not been successful in using WiFi to download images without having to take the camera out of the car and running it on a power bank.
will that work? What about the thing where you attach the camera? If the camera size is different. it may not fit on the existing stand in my car which is glued to my windshield

Last time I ordered a kit it came with 15A fuses. Maybe the wiring can handle that but I only put up to 5A fuse in the dashcam slot of the fuse tap for safety. 3A should also be plenty large enough should you have them on hand.
