This is a cromulent clipper, but the batteries are not (easily) replaceable and they stop holding a charge after a couple years. I moved on to a 5 star magic clip with user replaceable batteries.

I've had this since Covid and I love this thing. The battery is still going but it doesn't hold as much of a charge. IMHO it's worth it at this price.

Not even a couple of years. Bought one of their trimmers in October 2024 and the battery can barely hold a charge now since a few months ago.

going to give this a shot for cleaning up my beard. Can you just leave it plugged in to use if the battery goes to garbage?

This cromulent clipper embiggens the smallest haircutter.

I had to look up cromulent. My vocabulary is pretty solid but that is not a word used often, as there are probably dozens of more common words that mean about the same thing. But I learned something new from your post, so cool.
On a side note, my wired wahl which I got for maybe under 20 bucks that has given me basically every hair and beard trim for maybe the past 15 years still works well. It is falling apart and is held together by duct tape but that thing still cuts well. Unfortunately I think they stopped making them so beastly so you have to buy new ones all the time. All of them with batteries have a shelf life basically.

It looks like these use a NiMH battery and not lithium, which explains why a lot are reporting them not holding a charge after just a couple years. If you want something long lasting I would look for a lithium type... I have another Wahl with lithium and it's still going strong after 7 years, although i only use it once a week.

I have this and it works great, but because the batteries don't hold a charge, I have to keep it plugged in when using it . Has some looked into replacing the batteries with lithium batteries?

The guards break over time. I don't use it often, maybe once every 3 months. Two of my guards locking mechanism broke.

I got this a while ago because I wanted cordless, but I stopped using it. It was consistently underpowered, even when it was charged. I went back to my wired remington which has been good enough for me instead: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Reming...5/44469331

Personally for me, I will always use a wired clipper for consistent power and not having to worry about batteries but to each their own.

If the internal battery won't hold a charge, will it still operate while plugged into the charger?
