It's fine for PC, but honestly I'd just go with the U3-mode instead. The Bluetooth model doesn't have the 1000hz polling rate, uses dinput instead of xinput, no steam input support so no gyro + back button. You're really paying the premium for switch support

Great controller. The joysticks are actually TMR, which is supposed to be a cut above Hall Effect. The triggers are Hall Effect though which is pretty cool. D-pad feels amazing too, best I have ever used.

Gotta love when you open the SD app not looking for anything particular and a couple of minutes later you have a new Switch 2 controller. Thanks OG

I've been going back and forth on buying a new controller that will support both my Switch and PC for about 3 weeks now. Pulled the trigger two days ago. TWO DAYS AGO. This is an incredible price.

Its biggest benefit is being 1 controller for both PC via the adaptor and switch via bluethooth. I have the old version, and have no complaint. I am also telling myself hard that I only need one controller and no buy this X)

Based on what I've read, the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 (Non-Bluetooth version) that I'm currently using is better for playing on Steam and PC, because it's natively supported by Steam, and you can remap the extra back and shoulder buttons to anything you want.

I purchased this for my Switch 2. Finally, I can wake my Switch using a controller. It has a shake-to-wake feature, so you need to power on the controller first, then shake it, and it will power on your Switch after you set it up. The controller feels great and would be a great buy at this price.

Is the dock necessary for use with a Switch 2? I'd much prefer to charger it via usbc like a pro controller and not have a dock sitting out

It is better in my opinion.

There is a dongle inside the dock, which I believe is necessary. So you would still have to plug the dongle into the switch for it to work.
