Is this the one you have to get filters from Costco?
You're probably thinking of the c545.
Here is info copy and pasted from Google:
The Winix C545 uses Size S filters (approx. 11 x 13.25 inches), while the Winix C535 uses Size 21/Filter A (approx. 12.6 x 16.3 inches). The C535 filter is significantly larger in surface area, and they are not interchangeable. [1, 2, 3]
Winix C545 (Size S / 1712-0096-00)
• Dimensions: H: 13.1" x L: 10.9" x W: 1"
• Fitment: Typically sold at Costco, uses a smaller filter area, often referred to as "Filter S".
• Carbon Filters: Often requires 4 charcoal pre-filters, changed every 3 months. [1, 3, 4, 5]
Winix C535 (Size 21 / 115115 / Filter A)
• Dimensions: H: 16.34" x L: 12.60" x W: 1.18"
• Fitment: Compatible with 5300, 6300, 5300-2, and P300.
• Carbon Filters: Uses a larger, thicker filter assembly. [2, 6]
Key Takeaway:Ensure you purchase the correct filter by model number. The C545 uses Filter S and the C535 uses Filter A/21. The C535 filter is larger and incompatible with the C545. [2, 3, 7, 9]
I got this one from costco over 7 years ago, and almost use it 24x7. And it is still working perfectly as of today. Also you can get 3rd party carbon and HEPA filter replacements from amazon.

It's an amazing machine. I hope they never stop making them.
The only difference between c535 and c545 is the c545 has wifi connection for smart home features. There is no significant difference between air quality performance, fan noise, or power usage. Long term value, I find the OEM c545 air filters cheaper to buy than c535 filters.

My experience is the 535 holds up much better long term and is a more well-made machine. And the Wi-Fi of 545 is useless and unreliable.
I have both. Never use the WiFi of the C545. Have several extra of the genuine "Filter A" for the C535 because it often goes sale ($20-$30 for 1 year supply). Genuine Filter S for the C545 doesn't go on sale, but there are cheaper options third party. C535 uses larger filters which might have a slight advantage in longevity, but also makes unit slightly larger.
All I know is I have this model. I bought filters from Costco during a sale. It's literally the type I need, but somehow they are thicker than the prior filters. And it's definitely Winix branded.
Not a deal at all. Costco had this model before the C545, but Costco package contains two sets of filters for $99 on sale. This package contains only one set of filters.
Costco carried C535, then C545, and now the round one, C610. For the genuine Winix filters, Amazon has a better price for C535 (Size A) filters, $26 a set.

I have 3 of these....great units. When purchased new they come with extra filters just fyi not sure if that's the case for refurb. Prefer to my corsi boxes as the prefilter catches a lot and protects the HEPA

Condition is "fair" though. Probably best to spend the extra $35 on a new one.
