Local backup is huge and not needing a stupid subscription. Plus I don't want google to share my security videos with anyone.
You can pick up homebase for cheap, people have been having issues with it. I have 1 and have not used it. Apparently a bad firmware.. hope it's resolved.
Wyze stores locally or cloud with sub and i have that sub. Not bad at all, cameras are good and I have them hardwired.
Reolink, running cameras on NVR with app support and no need to worry about subs + better quality running POE.
If you can run hardwire, I recommend that. Chdck out lifehackster on YouTube, he does a lot of comparisons on these cameras
I've got cameras new, factory refurbished, as old as the 2c and 2c pro cameras. I also buy them used from FB marketplace and connect them to my Homebase3. Usually I hardwire/plug in charger, just for convenience and reliability.
The sensitivity on the doorbell camera is sometimes a bit off, but I have cross camera event tracking on so if one camera sets off it triggers others in the same kind of zone.
Local storage is great; homebase 3 I've seen on sale to $75 new and $50 used, the 16GB is good enough for a lot of footage from my two cameras but can expand it with a 2.5" sata if needed. I bought it refurb and don't like that cameras connect to the homebase and store it there and not locally, reintroducing the wifi jamming vulnerablity. So I probably won't use that unless I get some interior cameras then record 24/7

I'm assuming when you say 'hardwired camera' you mean power and not connection to the homebase?
