This is definitely not a remaster. It's... a port? With a touch of graphical updates?

I didn't know what to expect when playing, but I'd read the good reviews. Having beaten it, it's a very dated game. Kind of enjoyable, kind of annoying without all of the QoL things I'm used to. Just look up some reviews before buying.

Here are several interviews directly from NightDive which goes into great detail about the game-

Is it a port of the Xbox/PS2 game?

I had played this a couple years ago. I enjoyed the story even though it was kind of what would be expected from a videogame. Was fun having John Carpenter appear. The graphics are indeed very dated. The gameplay mechanics take a little getting used to.

Id say my only gripe is with how repetitive it gets. To where it went on a bit too long of going through the same routine. Could have done with a few less stages.
If it were in the $10 or under range, I'd highly recommend it to anyone that is a fan of Carpenter's film.

Sounds like a typical 3rd party switch game.

Are you saying it has the ability to transform/take on the perception of a NSW physical game! I should have just burned it when I saw it had an actual cartridge. Dead giveaway.

I think it's $10 for the PC on loaded. It's $17.99 on steam right now.

First time I've seen someone actually call the site loaded.

Good game, though it'll be better in a Humble Bundle.

It's a remaster. The "touch of graphical updates" is exactly what a remaster is. That's what it has been for a couple generations. A port is just making the game playable on a different platform, without any sort of texture upgrades and whatnot. You're just used to now seeing things like Oblivion Remastered, which is more of a remake, since they didn't use any of the original graphical assets.

Game felt a bit dated and half-arsed even when it was new. I bought it for $15 from a gamestop when I was still in highschool, and I'd say it was pretty much barely worth playing through at that time. The connection to the movie isn't terribly strong.

Watch the film again, then play Black Mesa or something.

You didn't play THIS a couple years ago... you played an older inferior version
