at least for Xenoblade Chronicles 2, the DLC of the region (usa) you bought from must match the region of the base game to play, right?
I don't want it then.

Not 100% guaranteed, but it seems to work since there are only 2 DLC versions for Chronicles 2: Japanese and everywhere else.
