Comparing original vs. vertuo, the original pods are cheaper but also half the size, so vertuo wins in terms of making the better cup, but the variety of vertuo pods is tiny compared to the variety of original nespresso which is small compared the variety of k cups.
The patent for vertuo expires around 2030. vertuo will probably become more popular after that.

Good price but as someone who bought one of these, the pods have become so expensive that I went back to regular coffee. The original makes more sense, pods are cheaper because there's competition.

HSN had it without the frother for $62 plus $7.50 for shipping about 1 month ago. HSN had a WELCOME15 coupon also. That would be like getting the coffee maker for free. Be on the lookout.

I absolutely love mine, and the coffee flavor cannot be beat. The pods have become expensive, but Nespresso often has sales. Each pod is still less than Starbucks. I have a coffee bar so I can add all of the extras (frother, fresh whipped cream, Carmel drizzle, vanilla syrup, etc.) the extras last a long time per cup.

As a coffee lover, this looks like a nice deal 😄 but I'm curious, are there cheaper ways to still enjoy good coffee at home? Maybe something like manual brewing (French press or pour-over)?

Same here. We have K-cup coffee at work, and it doesn't even come close to the Vertuo coffee pod in flavor.

100%! Look up "clever dripper". It's a wacky hybrid of a French press and a pour over thing and it makes incredible coffee every time (assuming you use halfway decent beans) and at a tiny fraction of the cost of Nespresso. Takes about 30 seconds of manual effort (and 3 minutes of waiting) and you can throw the clever dripper in the dishwasher.

Very good deal because it includes the frother. Is it a good coffee machine? I have THREE - home, office, and one in case one of them breaks.

I strongly feel like pour over is the best way to enjoy a cup of coffee. The biggest drawback most people have is that it takes longer, but I usually multitask and make it while I'm doing breakfast. I sawlike a collapsable silicone set on amazon that was meant for campers to use and they were 2 for $10, but I wanted something that felt a little fancy so I had a potter make me a beautiful one. It cost like 40 bucks and will will last longer than most electrical kitchen gadgets.

A french press would be good for a stronger more espresso-like brew. You can sometimes find them at places like TJ Maxx and Marshalls for 10 bucks or less.

As far as the milk frother goes that comes with this you can just pick up an electrical steamer / frother for 30-40 bucks and they're literally the same thing.

I make my own. Save original pods and buy aluminum lids off on AliExpress

I dont see where you can apply code in the checkout, I am all the way to payment now. Also, it is $119.98, 15% would be $101.99

Does it reduce the amount of fake crema it gets from the fast spinning? Or still the same.

I'm using a moka pot ($7.50), an electric hand frother ($4.40), and an electric coffee grinder ($14.00, but free after rebate) and making really good coffee at home. I'm only reading the thread because I (need!) want some of that coffee now, but am too lazy to get up just yet

FYI. I just bought a hand grinder for the coffee beans for $7.00 that arrived today. I'm looking forward to trying it out.
btw If you cold brew coffee, you could eliminate the equipment completely and do it for freeeee.
