I would spend the extra $200 and get the M5 Pro chip for $1799 IMO.

Since I don't have a micro center store nearby, I was able to price match it from BestBuy online as they have an online store listing for the same model and specs. BestBuy customer support matched the lower pricing from Micro Center and I was able to purchase it for in store pick up at my nearby BestBuy location

Neither, get the M5 Pro for $200 more. If you are spending this kind of money, an extra $200 is the smarter and better choice. If the M4 Pro new is $1400, then yeah the M4 Pro.
