Meaning they can continue to manufacture and sell these as long as they were previously FCC approved for that model. We're seeing this in the drone space as DJI was rushing to get their last batch FCC approved before they clamped down.

My bro set up my parents' house with a Unifi system. He wanted good, full coverage, and used all Unifi parts, the APs were those saucer-looking ones, and then there was the controller module... I forget its name... Cloud something? Anyway - it worked, good area of coverage.
We had weird problems. I could be in the same room as the printer with my laptop, yet be unable to access the printer. Both were on the WiFi network, same subnet and IP addresses were compatible, all that, but it was like the printer didn't exist. However, I could walk a few rooms away, and suddenly the printer would become available. There were loads of other weird, small problems over the course of 2 years with that system.
Eventually I got fed up with it, disconnected it all, and got an Orbi system (I'm not advocating for Orbi, just what I got because at the time it was the good deal), and we have had very few problems since. Enough that I'm watching deals (almost pulled the trigger on this one or the Costco variant, but not there yet), but not enough that I'm constantly frustrated like I was before.
Just my experience with Unifi - I won't go back, because it was THAT bad. I know many people who swear by the brand, but we all make choices that take into account our own experiences.
