I got one of these in my kid's small bedroom. It has never changed from green to any other light! The Winix air purifier in the room on the other hand screams orange when its working hard to clean up the air. So I am not sure if this amazon purifier really does anything or not. Please let me know if I am using it wrong.

I just ordered it, but did you ever look at the dashboard in the app for the monitor when that happened?

This is pretty useless and didn't seem accurate. For air quality monitor, stick with the Airthings monitors instead.

I had an Air Things radon detector - the Wave. It failed over time. I switched to an Ecosense product, which seems to be more accurate

Looks promising but at 3.7 stars, it's hard to buy even at that price

i got this one and was pretty impressed with how easy it is to set up despite the negative reviews... And then... the very next day it disconnected itself and has been wonky regaining connection ever since.. this is a paper weight.

It's Amazon - why wouldn't you return it?

Its always 98 or 99. but I doubt it. the room gets so dirty often that the air purifier picks up the issue and starts running to clear up. but never get any notifications from this device thru' the app.

Paid that much when Woot! was selling the refurbs. I have two of them but one of them is almost always disconnected despite being within five feet of my router. It seems okay but I don't like that it doesn't have a display like my Ecowitt. For me it's a pain to pull out my phone and wait on the Alexa app just to check the air quality. Also, if you're into data collection there is not a way to download the data, and only one week is stored in the app in hourly increments which is far from granular. I should also mention that since there is no display you must have an Amazon account to view it.

A lot of Amazon smart home stuff, especially the first generation, is complete trash. For example: Their first smart plugs would just turn off when they lost Internet access. I don't why the hell they thought that was a good idea. Or maybe they just didn't get any user testing before release.
