Recommend getting an i7 and 16GB; while memory is upgradeable to 64GB (2 slots), the cost of new memory these days is outrageous.

Refurbished and a 6 year old processor. $200 is cheap but this thing isn't exactly cutting edge.

Yeah, these things aren't particularly fast, but I'll take one of these over a new entry level consumer laptop any day.
ETA: it's 5 years old, not 6.

Great deal. You could buy this and get through college easily. My college laptop in 2010 was a Dell with a 3rd-gen Core i5, 8GB RAM, and mechanical hard drive. I think it was like $600 used.

Able to buy HP i5 13th gen with 16gb ram for $250 from ebay. Looks new and still have 6 months of warranty left. Screen is not the best but if you looking for a one for school I'll look ebay for better deal.
