If you are in the market for a soundbar, this one is hard to beat. But I will add my usual warning that the ZC variant is the Canadian model and the only warranty is through Woot. People have had trouble getting warranty service from Samsung USA with these variants, although when a firmware update bricked some of them, Samsung took care of them.

Woot often has the ZA variant which has a full US warranty for about $100 more.

Thank you! I was literally looking at buying this a few days ago ... but decided on the Q990D because it was cheaper (older model). This is a no-brainer for me now Smilie

Thanks for the heads up. How much longer is the US warranty vs canada one anyway?

Ill wait for the ZA tobget a deal. Not that I trust thier warranties anyways. I have the q990d (us version) and last year it was killed by an update and it was about a month after my 1 year warranty. Ibread that they were repairing them since it was a known issue, I think English is thier third language and its difficult to communicate with them, but anyways they denied a warranty claim. I bought it withba CC that doubles manufacture warranties (luckily) and it didnt take much effort for them to cover the repairs through Samsung. Glad I got it fixed, but annoyed that samsung didnt fix it sinxe it was directly caused by thier update and it was a known issue. I havent done an update since then and havent had an issue, but I wouldnt buy the Canadian version is there is only a 90 day warranty, doubling that making it 6 months doesnt seem worth the risk

Y'all got me a wee bit worried now ... there's this ZP variant which is $75 more, and says it's 1yr warranty backed by Samsung: https://electronics.woot.com/offe...-subwoofer ... I'll cancel the other, and get that instead for peace of mind.

For anyone else interested, ZP is Pacific; but Woot clearly differentiates the warranty, so if there is an issue I can always go back to them.

I have both the Q990D and the Arc Ultra Immersive Bundle. I honestly think they are indistinguishable.

I love the Sonos but don't think its worth the 2-3x premium it demands over the Q990 series

Thanks for posting! I was about to order this and best price I could find was around $1,100 + tax (for US version: HW-Q990F/ZA). I just hope I don't have to deal with any sort of warranty claim issue due to the whole Canadian-model-in-US.

I was debating between this and the LG S95AR as I got a deal on that model with purchase of LG TV for $1089, but this deal blows that price away AND its rated higher for sound quality (plus full HDMI 2.1 passthrough).

I swear that I don't know how to navigate woot. When I click on your link then click on the (NEW) Samsung Soundsystems part of the directory to see all options... it doesn't show this item as an option.

I really loathe that website. How did you find it? Even going through Home>Electronics>Home Audio & Theater doesn't show it!

Honestly, I can't remember how I found it. I thought I just changed OP's URL, but that didn't work. Sorry! Frown

Same here. Listing does not appear when I manually navigate the directory. However, the link does take me to the listing, and when I check out/attempt to pay, I get denied

I love that the sound bar has 7 different channels... LOL. To me a 7.1 is two front speakers, center chanel, two rear and two that fire up (dolby atmos). Samsung's 7.1 is ONE soundbar and a sub.... LOL.

I just feel you are at the price point where you can buy speakers, sub, etc... and a RECIEVER and be happy. NO WAY... am I going to spend so much money on three speakers plus a sub.
