Any first hand experience? I assume it has coils inside and heating these feels like it would drain the battery VERY rapidly.

"maximum runtime of up to 42 minutes on the low setting when using a 5Ah battery. It features two temperature settings (500°F and 990°F), with higher heat settings and smaller batteries resulting in significantly shorter runtimes, often around 15–20 minutes on high."

This would be ideal for drying drywall patches quickly for example

Yeah, I have used this for years for irrigation and outdoor piping work (polyethylene pipe and fittings) around my property. It is pretty weak, which is actually ideal for this application because it's very easy to overheat the plastic fittings. Runtime is pretty good, probably 15-20 minutes total on a 5Ah battery, which when you need 15-20 seconds per fitting is basically all day on a few batteries.

I would not use for it anything where continuous duty is required.

This tool is frequently available with bundled offers and as a result is always available at a discount on eBay, so this is not really a deal but a price you can get everyday.

I purchased this from Fasteners last September for $108 (incl shipping). But, I'm not happy with it at all, likely my worst Dewalt purchase ever. It has a very weak blower and takes forever to heat up. I contacted Dewalt support and they replaced it, but the new one is no better. Would not recommend.
