Let me ask people with the stronger one. Does it blast off surface dust or am I asking too much with that? I normally use compressed air for inside and a microfiber for exterior but thought i would try putting the air right up to the surface and blasting at full speed and... nothing. Didn't remove a single spec of dust.

Would get a MF100 if you require dusting of any sort. It's not that big or heavy and is one of the better dusters. Just lower your expectations because I was expecting the MF100 to blow air about of my Iqair filters but the motors in the machine gave more air flow than the air compressor. It does the job alright but it requires me to hover around the filter for a bit.

I have the stronger one (MF100). To answer your question, no, it won't completely clean a surface of dust specks. It's surprisingly powerful for such a small unit, but it is not as powerful as canned air even on the highest setting. And just like canned air, performance drops off as you use it. Fully charged, you'll get like 10-20 seconds at top speed, then there's a slight reduction until 1:30, then like half speed until 2:30-3:00 when it gets super slow/dies. Note that this is all from just on the high speed setting with no change in setting. I may be misremembering the timing a little bit, but on the highest setting, you get less than 5 minutes of air. It can still be used to clean out the internals of a pc, just know that it wont be as powerful as canned air and would still need a backup can/unit for a full cleaning. And a manual wipedown at the end to get all of it.

I have found some neat other uses, like blowing out leaves and stuff that get into the garage when the landscapers come using their blowers and blow it under the garage door. Or blowing leaves off my deck when they're dry.
