For those interested, be aware this requires a dedicated 230V circuit and does not plug into a standard 110/120V receptacle

Amana HVAC equipment is manufactured by Goodman mfg. which is part of the Daiken Group. From what I understand Whirlpool does have the rights to use the Amana name on some other things such as microwaves. It seems like these things are always changing depends on who buys the rights to use the name.
