This generation is seriously lacking the library at this point in its lifespan, when console prices historically have declined. I honestly would wait until PS6 and eat the pain of the price there.
Also, Sony blocked comments on their price increase thread lol

Do you have the PlayStation app? If so, maybe try navigating to the hardware section from it, it'll go to a webpage within the app. For me doing it that way seems to cause less login issues when i use it vs the PlayStation.direct website.
My shipping info says its coming from NJ so if nothing is working for you, maybe it is regional regional

The tech for it is already set in stone, so if you delay until 2029, then you are releasing tech meant for 2027. Sony has no choice but to move forward despite what the market is willing to stomach in terms of readiness. It's all wishful thinking and fantasy for gamers to project a delay. Even if I agree that this generation hasn't bear enough significant fruit in terms of games worthy of a gen.
