Just beware when buying from Best Buy I don't know if this is new they have second party people selling under the Best Buy name not a fan of that

The real deals here are the PlayStation Fortnite bundles which are $100 less than other pricing and $200 less than they'll be on the 2nd. Wanted to make the thread so anyone on the fence about purchasing had time to before the price increases next week.

This generation is seriously lacking the library at this point in its lifespan, when console prices historically have declined. I honestly would wait until PS6 and eat the pain of the price there.

I agree. But I just bought mine a month ago. Bought it used a slim disc edition for $300, and that included a 2 TB SSD installed. It's a complete waste of money to buy one new for the new inflated prices.

I am very surprised Sony is raising the price is a ps5 to $900, plus disc drive. That effectively makes a ps5 $1000, double the launch price six years ago. Consoles always got cheaper as time went on…

I'm in the Midwest and was able to order the disc version of the fortnite bundle this morning 10ish minutes after the PlayStation blog post. It still shows as available now as well.

Do you have the PlayStation app? If so, maybe try navigating to the hardware section from it, it'll go to a webpage within the app. For me doing it that way seems to cause less login issues when i use it vs the PlayStation.direct website.

My shipping info says its coming from NJ so if nothing is working for you, maybe it is regional regional

I don't think so. PS6 is already set in stone, and delaying it's release date won't change anything. Someone already did a video explaining they would lose more money for a delay that would do nothing. R&D costs, Contracts, and Logistics. The chip allocation from TSMC, if they decide to delay, that would move them to the back of the line in terms of manufacturing.

The tech for it is already set in stone, so if you delay until 2029, then you are releasing tech meant for 2027. Sony has no choice but to move forward despite what the market is willing to stomach in terms of readiness. It's all wishful thinking and fantasy for gamers to project a delay. Even if I agree that this generation hasn't bear enough significant fruit in terms of games worthy of a gen.
