Just beware when buying from Best Buy I don't know if this is new they have second party people selling under the Best Buy name not a fan of that

The real deals here are the PlayStation Fortnite bundles which are $100 less than other pricing and $200 less than they'll be on the 2nd. Wanted to make the thread so anyone on the fence about purchasing had time to before the price increases next week.

I agree. If you haven't already purchased because you didn't like the price to begin with, this certainly won't convert people. I was just trying to put some perspective. People always think the sky is falling when game consoles cost $XXX but don't blink an eye when their phone is 2-3 times that cost and gets repurchased ever 2-3 years. Maybe a bit more or less often depending on the person.

Got my PS5 years ago at Target 1 day sale with 20% off. Got it under $300. Still sealed Fat PS5 somewhere in the basement.

The big difference with phones is that most of us buying those high end phones every two or three years are getting subsidies from phone carriers. Nobody is offering me a free PS5 with a PlayStation Network subscription.

I am glad I still love and enjoy playing Quake 3 Arena. I still have PS4 but I keep going back to q3 arena. No one is going to be able to afford these crazy price increases. RIP gaming industry

We just looked at the price to upgrade my wife's Samsung Galaxy 24 ultra to the new Galaxy 26 Ultra. It was subsidized and with trading in the old phone, still would have cost us $500. The original price of the PS5. This is after 2-3 years of owning the phone. Not 5-8 years of a console life.

Ps5 does not use Red Hat, its some FreeBSD variant.
in the care of other countries, it would be nice for all kids and adults to be able to play games on a PS5 or Xbox or PC freely.

Keep in mind: the Flowering bundle disk version- $450 comes with 1 TB, the digital $400 is 825 GB. The disk drive is $80 so the disk version is the better deal if memory and future expandabiliy is a concern.
