The real deals here are the PlayStation Fortnite bundles which are $100 less than other pricing and $200 less than they'll be on the 2nd. Wanted to make the thread so anyone on the fence about purchasing had time to before the price increases next week.

This will kill the industry. No one will be able to afford these prices to game.

This is the third price increase. If people didnt recognize the trend then they didn't want one in the first place and deserve to pay more for procrastinating
No, we just won't buy it lol. Not all of us say baaaaah baaaaaah 🐑 they've done a great job at turning off a lot of older gamers. We were likely easing out of the hobby to begin with due to other responsibilities. But this helps 😂

So glad I bought my refurb PS5 for $310 before the tariffs hit last year.
Crazy that during Holiday 2023, the Xbox Series X was $300 and Series S was $150.

This isn't from tariffs regardless. It's cause of the AI Datacenters that have preordered components for datacenters that haven't even been built yet.
The first price increase last year was from the tariffs. This one is from the AI component shortage,

Bad time to be a gamer

Also, Sony blocked comments on their price increase thread lol
Xbox just offered me a new Series X for $438 for the "just for you" program. Gonna jump on that. I have a big physical 360/ONE library I would like to play on and new games

We actually just got ours for Christmas 2025.
I bought one on black Friday after it was released and sad to say I have hardly used it. So with the price increases will GameStop pay me the $499 I paid back when I bought it 🤣🤣

Was on the fence on buying a PS portal or not...... 199 was already overpriced...... 249? Guess they want to sell zero of them starting next week.
I own two and use zero. Can't use anything except oled. The LCD screen is a big let down for me.

Nevermind the fact these consoles were released over 5 years ago, despite tariff's and memory/silicon price increases, where do they get off doing this on hardware that is already in a "EOL" state? With next gen around the corner for new hardware expected to be released (maybe not now) but they aren't even trying to give back to the gaming communities that helped make them millions upon of millions of dollars, by sweetening the deal, increasing the warranty period, extra gear, etc.

There are no new hardware revisions, no performance increases, nothing in the works that would hint towards this being a justified response. Sony/Microsoft are charging new gen prices on old/last gen hardware. If that doesn't give you a bad taste in your mouth, pipe on the XBOX Live subscription price increases as well. It's extortion at this point.

I would like to meet the people who on both sides who thought this was a good idea and how they thought they were going to keep customers after implementing these horrid decision's.

In my opinion, these companies should be have what happened with GameStop, happen to them. Both of them have already made their fortunes with this console cycle. To expect their customers to pay more for their products that are not even being refreshed, upgraded, or the next console evolution being released it's just plain bad business and a spot in the face of their customers. I say they get punished like GameStop, or a complete boycott. If they really want to lose money, they sure are asking for it.
