Just beware when buying from Best Buy I don't know if this is new they have second party people selling under the Best Buy name not a fan of that

The real deals here are the PlayStation Fortnite bundles which are $100 less than other pricing and $200 less than they'll be on the 2nd. Wanted to make the thread so anyone on the fence about purchasing had time to before the price increases next week.

Got the $399 Sam's Club deal for the 1TB disc version.
Don't think I would want to pull the trigger at full price, let alone the pending price increase.

This price increase is INSANE. Basically this generation is dead for anyone that doesn't already own the console before the price increase. This is the 3rd, price increase isn't it? Worse gaming generation of all time. The entire point of a console was the cheaper price and ease of use. Now it has priced people out. Might as well game on PC only as you get emulation and mods on top of the deep discounts on Steam with the sales. Big yikes! RIP to console gaming. (FOR NEW purchases. All of you that already own one, this doesn't apply to you.)

I'm still playing PS4 Pro with games running on average $10 each. There is almost no reason to upgrade. Sony needs to do better if they want to take my money.

It's similiar technology with similiar markets. People use there phones and consoles similiarily to Play Games, stream shows/movies, to text/message friends to chat the list goes on. Besides there isnt much value proposition to compare is my Ps5 better than xbox,switch, maybe pc gaming in that case the market has spoken and the ps5 is smoking everybody so we should pay $1200
