Believe this particular model does not allow expandable batteries (not that 2kwh is small), but would prefer Delta 2 for expansion flexibility

LOL, you don't call 2kWh 'small.'
Lower-end products like the River 3 only have 245Wh, and those are truly considered small because they are entry-level models.
What 2048Wh can get you is, let's say, if you need to work during an outage. With a regular laptop (~65W), router (~10W), lamp (~10W), and perhaps a fan (~15W) = 100W total, it can give you about 20 hours of runtime.

I hook up a regular battery to mine via the solar ports on the back to get extended runtime in an outage. The ecoflow expansion batteries are way overpriced and I wouldn't buy them. I'd rather buy a larger unit if I needed it all in one package.
