I own one of these, and they're great. One issue that comes up is cleaning. They are harder to clean, but I've found that if you use one of those wooden palm brushes [amazon.com] like the ones I've linked, and clean the pan while it's still warm... it makes it quite easy to keep clean.
  • COOKING VERSATILITY: Our grill pans have unparalleled heat retention that gives you edge-to-edge even cooking every time you use your grill pan. Cast iron cookware is slow to heat up but retains heat longer which makes cast iron ideal for pan-frying and roasting, these delicious moments are cast to last
  • FAMILY-OWNED. Lodge is more than just a business; it is a family. The Lodge family founded the company in 1896, and they still own it today. From environmental responsibility to community development, their heads and hearts are rooted in America. Lodge products are made in the USA with non-toxic, PFOA & PTFE free material

Also, if you're looking for a lid for this (which I recommend), Amazon has a Lodge brand one that fits this exact model. The Used Very Good is selling for a bit over $18 right now.

I got this a while ago, it's great for 2 steaks or chicken. Makes nice grill marks. Mine came with a silicone handle gripper, this doesn't look like it comes with one. 4 pack for about $6 -

these things are so hard to clean, i thought i could use it as a quick grill alternative but by the time i'm done cooking and cleaning the pan it ends up taking longer than if it were to use the grill, those grooves are hard to clean the scum.

I'm with you. I liked the idea of it, but then realized there's actually not much use for these things and they're annoying to wash. I have a nice Le Creuset one I bought something like 15 years ago that I haven't used in something like 14 years.

Would love to have it if I didn't have a half dozen carbon steal and cast iron pans already...I'll just put money towards a grill Wink
