I bought this the last time it was on sale in the Pastel Paradise color and for $10, it's definitely worth it. The clip is nice, but not really my thing - it feels like it would mess up the seal to carry it like that constantly. As far as keeping my drinks cold (in the south) I definitely didn't experience 24+ hours of it staying cold, it was more like 10-12...but once again I'm in the south and outdoors often. Worth it for a fraction of the price of my Coldest brand Tumbler.

Any comparison to Owala freesip?

IMO, the Owala is much easier to clean - but I like the Ello's locking mechanism on the side especially if you drop by accident it won't pop everything open. Ello feels a bit sturdier all around. That's been my experience so far. Overall though, if they were both priced at $10 - I was going with the Owala Freesip. Current price for the Freesip for the same size is not worth it, imo, but I'm sure to someone it is. So far, the Coldest brand has been my top one. I bought 3 of these Ello green ones, worth it for gifts.

I bought a set of two water bottles for my child from Sam's Club. When they fell on the ground, the clear lids cracked very easily

Oh dang. Did you go with another brand and if so, which one worked out?
