Good deal if you want a little bit better of a machine vs the air. Best Buy will price match easily if you do not have a Microcenter nearby, just be sure to send them a store with it in stock. Better screen vs the air and maybe better battery, I'd need to check.
it's wild to see such deep discounts on these machines already. Maybe the m6 really is coming this year.

Looks like BB doesn't carry the 24GB/512GB one any more. Would've been a nice price match.

I was not able to get BB to pricematch because I'm more than 25 miles away from the nearest MC.

This is true only if the RAM is reduced to 16GB. And it's still using the M5 and not the M5 Pro

Keep cycling through the chat reps. I have one nearby but they didn't have the MacBook I wanted in stock, so I just sent them a link tot be closest microcenter that had it in stock. They priced matched it pretty quickly.

Rather spend a little more on the M5 Pro and a 1TB SSD.
This doesn't have wifi 7. Only the M5 Pro has it.

Apple sells 13" Macbook Air with 32gb RAM + 512GB disk for $1500. Macbook Air has wifi 7 and bluetooth 6. 14" macbook pro with m5 cpu only makes sense for the screen I guess.
