Denon's AH C830NCW looks like a compact, stemmed pair best suited for music listening, with generally praised sound quality and a price that lands well below its usual roughly $160 level. The earbuds are also appealing as a backup or spare set, especially for car use, and the fit can make ANC feel more effective when the seal is right. The main knocks are older Bluetooth 5.0, short 4.5 hour playtime, IPX4 water resistance, and no app, equalizer, or wireless charging support. A decent low cost option if you mainly want sound over extras.

  • The earbuds can deliver good sound quality for music listening at this price point.

  • The model can work well as a spare set for car or bus use when ANC matters.

  • The ANC can feel close to unchanged when the earbuds are properly fitted.

  • The deal price can be competitive versus current Amazon pricing for the same model.

  • The earbuds reportedly use older Bluetooth 5.0 and IPX4 instead of newer or more common specs.

  • The earbuds may lack standout features such as app support, driver size details, and ANC rating information.

  • The coupon code can stop working after the price changes, which can reduce the final discount.

  • The playtime can be around 4.5 hours, which can be too short for some use cases.

I was interested in these until I noticed that they are Bluetooth 5.0. I feel like they should be cheaper given that. I know for some it won't matter but in my experience 5.3 or 5.4 have much more stable connections. https://www.denon.com/product/wir...30NCW.html
yeah, these have flinstones-era specs. BT5.0 (4 generations old, 6 is the standard today) , ipx4 (for that price range ipx55 is the standard), no app support, no equalizer,
and other brands on that price range offer all of those feature plus more:
some have google fast pair, which is becoming common, some have wireless charging, some have fast charging cases.
also, because of BT5.0 and because of the small shape of the buds, battery life must be horrible on these.

I was going to grab these but the 4.5 hours of playtime killed it for me
yeah, tiny size and bluetooth 5.0 is not a good combination

If you dislike stemmed earbuds, you have to try the baseus MA10pro.
I actually prefer stemmed earbuds. I feel like with they have fewer charging issues than the ones where the charging contacts are constantly rubbing directly against your earfold and picking up oils that way. I also feel like the stems are basically room for a slightly larger battery and antenna.

These are by no means a good deal. 1) 4 stars is NOT a good rating on the earbuds department. with so much competition you need at least 4.5 stars2) they have NO STANDOUT FEATURES no app support, no stated driver size, no dynamic driver, no stated ANC rating, no bluetooth info, and only 1px43) generic design, generic and large case. no brand recognition4) possible fake price on amazon and fake reviews. even at 26 bucks it is not a deal. there are better deals out there: -CMF Buds 2a: - $24 - great sound - great reviews (4.5) - recognizable brand - 12.4mm dynamic drivers - 42db ANC - APP support - equalizer - google fast pair - BT 5.4 - ipx55 - innovative case design -baseus BP1 - $17 - great sound - great reviews (4.5) - recognizable brand - 12mm dynamic drivers - 43db ANC - APP support - equalizer - bluetooth 6.0 - ipx55 - small case
great sound at 26 dollars. great deal

i never thought about it that way, but it makes perfect sense.
i guess i dont have that issue now, because i constantly wipe them with alcohol wipes.
but i think i did get the issues you mention back before i started doing that.
i get these tiny alcohol wipes from walmart and clean my earbuds about every week, i clean the gummy part, and the contacts (alcohol doesnt mess up the contacts)
i keep the alcohol wipes next to my qtips because i usually clean my ears and earbuds at the same time.
also, i feel like stemmed earbuds fall off more easily, (depending on the brand, some are better shaped than others, but none have stayed as well as my ma10pro) and they also get knocked out when im changing my shirt.
but i can see what you mean with the room for battery and antenna as well. again, it also depends, i had some stemmed earbuds with horrible battery life. the ones from amazon (the amazon brand) were HORRRIBLE. probably the worst earbuds i have ever owned.

even at 26 bucks it is not a deal. there are better deals out there:
-
CMF Buds 2a: - $24 - great sound - great reviews (4.5) - recognizable brand - 12.4mm dynamic drivers - 42db ANC - APP support - equalizer - google fast pair - BT 5.4 - ipx55 - innovative case design

baseus BP1 - $17 - great sound - great reviews (4.5) - recognizable brand - 12mm dynamic drivers - 43db ANC - APP support - equalizer - bluetooth 6.0 - ipx55 - small case
I have the baseus BP1 and honestly they're kinda trash. Basically what you'd expect for 20 bucks though. Like something you'd get from a gas station.

I was just googling and reading reviews for these Denon units on Audio websites and forums and seemed to be well received. So for less than 30 bucks, they seem worth it if they have decent audio quality.

I already have airpods pro 2s and 3s. Just buying these as a backup in hopes the audio quality is good.

EDIT:

Also, no brand recognition?

From an audio quality perspective, the CMF buds are no better than the baseus.

Looks like the price changed to 29.99 and the coupon code doesn't work anymore. Still a good price I guess
