What the hell would make you think the JBL PartyBox is used for parties?

Some people with money have all that disposable money BECAUSE they don't buy everything retail or msrp and are smart and time their purchases or wait for deals. Those same people have also probably saved enough to treat themselves to cool purchases.

Amazing speaker. I have PartyBox 310 and gets plenty loud. This one is another level.

Are the dimensions really 37x18x18? That seems huge!
I'm guessing this is used mainly for parties?

Definitely not the name
But seriously speaking, I'm guessing it's mostly used for parties in outdoor venues such as pool parties, beaches, etc. As opposed to a party in an apartment.

Anyone have feedback between this or the 520?
Is the main difference their size and loudness?

I was waiting for the Ultimate to go back down to $998, but the last time it went down to $998 was 2024 according to Camel.

My group uses this for parties and I hate it because I feel we have enough money to afford a more legit setup with better acoustics but they're all lazy or non technical. There's about 5 different dudes that own this speaker, we're all amateur wannabe DJs. We mostly rent large airbnbs (we clean after) or bring into large hotel rooms and let it blast.

At my uncle's memorial a month ago, the power went out. The venue brought one of these in. With this and bluetooth, we had music and then a PA for sharing. Not something most people would need, but I was impressed.
Then I went with a group on a parade. Either the number of bluetooth devices around or the broadcasting signals overwhelmed the connection, and so audio cut out a ton. Also it just wasn't loud enough.
Those were the first two times I ran into one, all in the past month.
