I know some people successfully use a DeWalt battery with converter with the Milwaukee vacuum's. However I believe this is one of those that you can't because there isn't enough room in the compartment. Can anyone confirm?

From what Ive seen only the non fuel m18 vac goes on sale with batteries/charger - grabbed this and was hoping to adapt dewalt 20v batteries to it, but battery compartment seems tight. Now that I've ordered the M18 im sure dewalt will announce a half decent 20v vac any day now...

This is the best info i've found so far. This guy can get his 4.0 to work with a modified battery adapter but not a 6.0. Still a little janky and I have 5.0 batteries so not sure if it will even work for me.

I've adapted the non-fuel version for a Dewalt battery and it works great for my use case.

Ive been watching these since last summer. the Fuel has definitely never been lower than $130. the non-fuel has gotten down to $100, but for $32 more, the Fuel is worth the upgrade its so much better.
