I was able to get this deal in the Bay Area, but the Costco website kept trying to default my address down to an old SoCal address where it was out of stock, even though I KEPT CHANGING THE ADDRESS at checkout and everywhere else that was obvious (like store location, delivery zip code, and checkout zip code). I eventually had to delete ALL addresses in my Costco account's Address Book located in SoCal so it would stop acting like I was trying to purchase there instead of the Bay Area. So be aware that you might have to do that as well.

TLDR: It's probably OOS in Los Angeles area.

Could this be set to refrigerator temps? I don't know if these kinds of freezers would allow that or they need to be below 32F

I don't know if they support it on its own, but you can achieve the same results with an inkbird (search Amazon). That plugs in first then you plug your freezer in it. It has a temperature probe which goes in the freezer and you set a temperature and it'll cut power to the freezer when it hits that. I've used it to convert a freezer to a fermentation chamber for Homebrewing and use it now on a chest freezer to have run as extra fridge space in the garage.

Congrats to those in the Bay Area who actually have enough room in your garage to fit this. That's the real price.

Neat. Thanks for the reply. Was considering 2 of these to use one as a fridge but I'm going to pass. Good price but too big for my garage. Need to research more.

Are the frost free models really worth it or the regular manual defrost models a hassle but not significant enough to pay more?
