Amazon history shows I had bought this back in 2019 for $11.38. That $27 is a hyper inflated price.

Maybe so, but Amazon's sale price is lower than Sam's Club [samsclub.com] so I think this is a deal worth posting.

Well when the Costco Time Machine goes on sale again maybe we'll pick one up so we can go back 7 years and save $5

Looks like it's been mostly $20 for the past year. My preference is hyperwash which you can get at Harbor Freight.

I like Hyperwash too, but at this price, this stuff is just slightly more economical. With the water I have (it varies based on how hard your water is), using hyperwash I need about 1.75 ounces per 5 gallon bucket vs 4 oz of this stuff to get a really nice slick wash.

If you don't love this stuff and are really looking for a slick deal, the Rain-x High Foaming wash can usually be found on sale for about $5-6 for the 100oz jug, it punches above its weight, good strong wash and plenty slick at 1oz to 1 gallon of water.

You'll need to use a bit more soap to get a nice foam. I find gold class doesn't foam white as well as other soaps. Solid ph neutral soap nevertheless.

The rain X you referred to, is it green by any chance? I was just eyeing that over the wkend at Walmart and saw that it's relatively inexpensive at $8 for the 100oz bottle. But I hesitated.

I've always use Meguiar gold class. But in recent years, I started using a foam Canon and noticed I need to use a lot of gold class to get a lot of foam, so I want to find something better suited for foam cannons that is relatively inexpensive.

But I'll put the HF hyperwash as well as the Rain X high foaming on my short list.

Yes, the stuff that looks like antifreeze in a clear bottle. I'm not certain that you'll get more foam out of it at the same dilution as GC, but its half the price. And to clarify, HF hyperwash is Meguiars Detailer Line Hyperwash D110, its $35 for a gallon. It claims to be hyper concentrated but in my use, its roughly twice as concentrated as Gold Class.
