I had a few games where 1 had a different delivery date (wednesday), but the rest were supposed to be by Tuesday. I have now gotten an "update" on all of them saying to "get ready" and it's "Preparing to ship", but no official confirmation it has shipped. On pins and needles!

Your examples of this happening are key stores selling PC games, where their lifeblood is literally selling game keys only. When price errors for them happen, it can kill their business because they can't afford those errors and margin cuts. So those stores will ask the publishers to reject those keys in hopes they can recoup the costs. Publishers sometimes grant the requests or not. Most of the time they don't because it's a store problem, not a publisher problem. That's it. Not all this weird drama regarding digital ownership and the doom and gloom it brings.
Big box retailers don't care about codes as they take significant less shelf space and they hardly make anything from digital codes. They're there to entice shoppers to buy other physical products from their store. They'll literally write this off as a loss and move on.
Didn't even know this was a glitch or that it was valid for more than 2 games.
Funnily enough the non-glitched deal is being offered to me again.
