PEX-A is more flexible than PEX-B. The stainless steel clamps can be used on either one.

Isn't PEX-A expansion without clamps?

You can't expand PEX-B, otherwise use the fittings as you wish as long as it fits.

Clamp vs ring crimp have different long term reliability, from what I read both pex a and b can use the clamp and crimp method, the ring crimp is more reliable. Will it pass inspection if you use pex a and crimp? Probably not. Will it leak? Probably not.
Only pex a can be expanded. Ymmv

Didn't know this existed until 15 minutes ago when I saw it in a big YouTube video about different Ryobi things and now here it is on sale.

I don't even know what you clamp things for, but just thought it was interesting

If the tubing has ASTM F2098 printed on it then stainless steel clamps can be used on it, whether it's PEX-A or PEX-B.

You can expand some PEX-B, but not all. You need to see if it supports the expansion ASTM #.
I prefer expansion and use a lot of expandable PEX-B in the barn for temp lines etc as it's much cheaper than PEX-A.

From every plumber I've hired over the last several years, they've used stainless steel clamps. I have this Ryobi tool, and it works well. The only downside is that it's rather large if you're doing something underneath a house. I also have a smaller hand tool.
