Seriously, for most needs LibreOffice https://www.libreoffice.org/ and OnlyOffice https://www.onlyoffice.com/ work great now.

They're both free so why not try them?

Tip: OnlyOffice has a simpler more MS Office like layout but it is more limited in functionality compared to LibreOffice.

Overpriced grey market key reseller
SD gets a kickback else they'd probably ban these sketchy license resellers.

same grey market on other sites:

office 2024 pro plus less than $1
win 11 pro $1.15
visio pro $2

templates are free everyday

$4.15 elsewhere but $13 from SD, where is the deal?

If the keys work, who cares? At that point it's a good product for a good price.

If they follow the same pattern they have since windows 10 they'll probably allow free upgrade to 12 if the hardware supports it.
What do you mean since windows 10. My current windows 11 pro desktop began its life as a Windows 7 key bought in 2012

No, it's the consumer that gets screwed if they buy grey market, then MS disables the key.

Can I download Microsoft office 2024 downloaded directly from Microsoft or do I have to download from a sketchy link?
If they give you a legitimate Office 2024 LTSC key, you can use the official deployment tool using the instructions here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us...024/deploy
Basically, download the setup exe and create a Configuration XML according to what part of office you want. Then run the setup from the command line to download the install files directly from Microsoft.

My instinct to jump on a cheap windows license is strong. I just don't use Windows anymore.

18 months ago got new asus pc came with win11 but my office stuff esp classic outlook was now dead. got a (gray?)deal like this from groupon not this cheap but not too bad, was office 21 used key all was well. then recent win11 forced update broke my classic outlook and more, mainly due to unwanted imposed onedrive stuff (affects psts). actually got an ms tech to remote troubleshoot my pc (via a ms365 1.95 a month subscription i keep active) & in the process he/we reinstalled win11 and reinstalled office. at some point need activation online and a key. i had saved the Groupon key he let me use that it actually worked painlessly he didnt say anything i was surprised (and pleased) all was well. might be the same here for folks interested.

Call it Grey market if you want but every Grey market key i have bought at $4.99 for windows 11 professional from the seller I go through (purchased 4 at different times) have worked flawlessly. I tried going the Microsoft route once and my upgrade path from 10 to 11 for the flash drive i paid $100.00 for is now telling me that the pc I had installed it on is out of life so won't do any further updates for 11. So I downloaded the official windows 11 iso. Wiped that pc and reinstalled 11 with the provided "Grey market key and it is updatable to the latest version of 11 no hassles. I will keep using the Grey market keys as long as they keep working. When 12 drops those same Grey market keys will always be around. More and more pc companies like Dell and Lenovo are soon to be having windows as an option instead of forcing it. Linux is slowly pushing Microsoft out because it isnt full of Ai slop and doesn't force you to have a dedicated account to sign in to the pc you own. Microsoft should give you the option not force it on you.
