Seriously, for most needs LibreOffice https://www.libreoffice.org/ and OnlyOffice https://www.onlyoffice.com/ work great now.

They're both free so why not try them?

Tip: OnlyOffice has a simpler more MS Office like layout but it is more limited in functionality compared to LibreOffice.

Overpriced grey market key reseller
SD gets a kickback else they'd probably ban these sketchy license resellers.

same grey market on other sites:

office 2024 pro plus less than $1
win 11 pro $1.15
visio pro $2

templates are free everyday

$4.15 elsewhere but $13 from SD, where is the deal?

Link, please?
That was 1.5 years ago. I only posted the price to respond to the comment that that dude's key failed after a few months. I have never had one fail and i have purchased upwards of 20 plus for friends and family from various venders over the years. These get linked to your MS account so if your activation is going to fail its going to fail at activation not months latter. However that is my experience and does not represent everyones experience on slick deals.

You know it's a bad product when they give it away like this. The trend is moving away from windows since 11 has been wrought with problems and a memory hog.

They are absolutely NOT just giving it away this is not being sold from microsoft direct retailer channel. If it were the price just for office 2024 on sale can be found on the link bellow. Also there is NO trend in corporate america or worldwide from removing microsoft from workstations none at all. For servers there is a trend to move them to the cloud and a flavor of unix to save on hardware and licensing but no no movement away from microsoft on workstations/laptops. Personally you may be doing something different but that does not translate to big business, corporate world wide and the average end user. And I say this not being a huge fan of microsoft and running several red hat servers on AWS. Maybe when best buy starts shipping their pc/laptops with Linux as the default OS that will happen but in todays reality…no

You don't convert. You still save in MS formats 🤦
Things like presentations frequently do not look the same when opened in MS and OO. And if you have multiple people working on the same document, some MS and some OO, it is really asking for trouble.

You are right... some company buys them for ten cents each and marks it up THOUSANDS of percent and then sells it to us... the consumer.

And you think Linux will become the business standard and not Teams and Office... LOL, OK.

No, the Office Professional 2024 and Visio Professional 2024 perpetual (one-time purchase) licenses do not include free, bundled cloud storage, such as OneDrive, according to Microsoft's typical licensing for desktop-only versions. Cloud storage is generally included with subscription plans (e.g., Microsoft 365, Visio Plan 1/2)

I am sorry i a pretty intelligent person but i don't understand your point here so I guess…thank you for sharing? I mean thats how business all work…no?To better understand that buy a car a piece of gold jewelry have your car serviced by the dealer I mean the list is endless and the markup can but just as bad if not worse. In fact just buy bottled water the markup is 4,000% to over 280,000% (google it or AI it)

In terms of unix I made no claim to its greatness although it is great ( for accuracy I am making the claim now) it's not for everyone in fact it's not for most. It is however what each shop i have worked for in the past 25 years uses as a backend. It will even run a mainframe to the bare minimum of the smallest rig efficiently something windows can never do. But again it's not for most and I NEVER made a claim it was. Moreover you misread my post entirely i said exactly what you stated in your reply. I responded to that dude that said there is a trend to move off Microsoft. I explained there is NO such trend. Idk maybe your response was meant for him.

What do you mean since windows 10. My current windows 11 pro desktop began its life as a Windows 7 key bought in 2012
Yes but Windows 8 wasn't a free upgrade. Windows 10 and Windows 11 were both free upgrades offered to anyone with Windows 7 or 8.
