I've heard it's a lot better but that it's more of the same done better and expanded. I personally couldn't get into the first one so I'm hesitant to buy this one. It's a good deal though.

Playing through the first Death Stranding game on my Xbox Series X (on Gamepass) and I'm looking forward to playing this when it comes out for the Xbox.

Definitely not a game for everyone, but the story is really interesting and weird and it's super chill, almost a comfy horror game if that makes sense. The exploration reminds me a little bit of Red Dead Redemption 2 which is another of my favorite games.

I didn't play the first one but I played this one and I love it. The concept is still the same (delivering packages from A to B) but it is a lot more combat focused and is definitely not a walking simulator anymore.

It has a good story too with quite a few interesting twists. It is a direct sequel to the first one so there are a lot of references to the first game. I didn't play the first one so I can't fully appreciate the story.

For $30, it's a great deal!

I consider the first one to be a masterpiece. It takes a while and the gameplay may not be your cup of tea, but the world building is astonishing. I have been waiting to play this. Unfortunately I have a digital PS5. If this is anywhere near the first one then $30 is a great price point.

its been a year since it released on ps5, and the pc version just came out for $70....

This game is awesome!! I've been playing it the last several weeks when I have time. It is close to the first one but with a lot more game play detail, larger map, more combat, etc. I'd still consider it partly a walking/driving/riding simulator (I use the transport vehicle 95% of the time). Not everyone's cup of tea and it took me a few hours of playing the first one before I was hooked. They have four difficulty levels so easiest one is for enjoying the story more and less game play difficulty and it goes up from there. It has a lot more features and options vs the first one. Tons of challenges and even harder if you are going for super rating on deliveries with less than 10% damage, etc. I really like how the game is almost coop with the other players in your server group but you don't see the other people - but you use the stuff they build or leave for you and vise versa.

Dang, this is a good price... I felt the first one was indeed kind of a walking/delivery simulator, and I have to say I didn't get very much out of the gameplay. But the story, characters, and visuals were just so unique, interesting, and evocative - you hardly ever see any truly original content anymore. After I finished it I didn't feel a compelling need for a sequel, but after the trailers and videos came out I got hooked again on the imagery. Gonna have to bite at $30!
