I bought this restored unit last summer for $222. It was dead on arrival, the wasn't motor working. I was able to get it replaced and it's still working fine now. Good deal, but make sure to check it out immediately and not hang on until after the 90 days warranty.

High efficiency portable Midea 12K BTU inverter AC with Dehumidify and Vent. This is a refurb of the Costco MAP14AS1TWT-C unit which retails new for $529.99. It's sold by Midea.

Single large hose. Unique hose within a hose according to description. Aka dual hose in one large hose.

just do your homework first. in addition to the unreliability of these in general, they are also the least efficient of any type of air conditioner. this one seems to be one of the worst for initial quality and long term reliability. but there's a butt for every seat, just something to consider.

Ordered one last year, DOA, was a pain returning it, due to its weight

As someone who returned one of these to Costco (maybe the one you are getting) - it worked really well for the summer but eventually started making an odd sound in the middle of the night. It kept me up at night for hours. I sent in a video and midea said it was faulty and the scrapped it.

I bought this for $222 via Walmart. Arrived without issues. The bottom wasn't taped/sealed in the box. The UPS delivery guy literally just rolled it to my front door lol. But everything looks brand new. No scratches or anything.

This is an inverter AC unit, it is the most efficient type of portable AC unit. Here is a link to the Energy Guide. Note that it's off the end of the efficiency chart. Some window units may be better, but I can't use them. I can't speak to reliability.

Agreed. It is more efficient than single hose portable AC units. I picked up mine refurbished last summer and it's still working. All pieces included. The packaging and dense styrofoam was pretty smashed on one side. Guessing UPS didn't like delivering such a heavy package.

I got a couple of these refurb last year. Generally open box returns…
The units are decent build quality but I am not super impressed with the cold output. I thought 2 hose would be 💪 but these are kinda mid and way heavy / less convenient than other portables I've used
madea should stick to the Boo movies
