I have these. FWIW- I use them once in a blue moon.... but only because i can. Rarely are they indispensable in normal homeowner/DIY activities. Maybe that's just me (?)

You're right. I had just seen several other similar "deals" in a row that had expired that I assumed this one was as well. That's on me. I'll read everything next time.

Basically all tools just make the job easier. These are nice is many situations and save quite a bit of time and effort. The nice thing about these type of wrenches is they can make some tasks easier. Don't get me wrong a plan set works well a majority of the time especially if you are experienced with how to handle them, but sometimes it is annoying to remove the wrench every turn etc. I don't see a reason not to have a ratcheting set over a plain most of the time.
Anytime you can make work a bit easier is normally worthwhile. Often just for the stress reduction. Done get me wrong I can see the other side that a basic toolset should be good enough. I just tend to error on the side the more options I have the better the chance for a good outcome.
