For those that dont want to do the homework. Homelite looks like a Home Depot only brand. The brand at one point was owned by John Deer before it got sold to a Hong Kong company called TTI (Techtronic Industries). So even though they are advertised as an American Company its actually Hong Kong owned but its a major player in the tools market as it also owns the brands Ryobi and Milwaukee which are top tier brands.

That being said 12V tools to me seems more like toys, but the reviews seem pretty good on them. Looking at price alone the closet I could find is a no name brand (cub tik) for $30 but it was 21V had a removable battery and its one of those 2 in 1 grass/hedge trimmers on Amazon....

I owned a lot of greenworks products, but thinking with how cheap these tools are might by a few. My main concerns is with this being 12V which is really weird to me, and having internal batteries these tools are pretty much throw aways. So $30 for a throw away seems okayish. Also with the Volt/Ah run time seems like this is only for quick and easy jobs.
