Got this last time and it's solid. Only down side in my eyes is that it picks up keyboard chatter. P sounds are a little strong but not a big deal.

It is $24.95 on Amazon. So, comparing to $100 Murphy, isn't accurate.

I got my son a Fifine Ampligame AM8 USB (and XLR) microphone about a year and a half ago and he said that everyone says it sounds great and thinks he has one of those broadcaster mics. I just checked though and it's $45 so it's 3 times the price of this one now. I think I got it for $20 something during a lightning deal.

so I have this... and I like it.

I would read about any issues... the thing about this mic is it has ONE BUTTON... and it goes from green, to Blue to Yellow.

Blue: Mic Gain

Yellow: Headphone Volume

Green: Balance (Computer audio vs. Mic monitoring)

And the Mic Gain if finicky... I usually keep it very low.

But know you know how to use this mic Smilie

Turtle Beach (the parent company) shifted focus away from the Neat brand

The box i got looks like it had been made during the pandemic.

Not bad just looks super dusty and worn down like overstock sales at the town returns and overstock auction.

Like another user mentioned its only 10 off the amazon price so its cheap yes but ridiculous? No just old stock that likely needs liquidating because rats or whatever attack the warehouses and eat delicious boxes(sounds like im being funny but im also srs)

This good enough for recording Youtube voiceovers?
Absolutely not. Get a hollyland lark. I used this thing once and I literally could barely tell the difference between it and my computers on board mic. It's a $20 product. Don't recommend. Airpods sound better lmao.

A look at other locations for this same mic shows that this ad has over priced significantly the mic to make it appear one is getting a real great price when one is not. Amazon has it at $24 bucks and redditt has it at $19 bucks. Scam.

"Other places including literally Amazon the company that owns woot have this overstocked mic cheap, so getting it noticeably cheaper is a scam!"

No it isn't. Even on your Reddit deal this is almost 25% off, and the quality is dramatically higher than a 15-25 dollar mic from any other brand. Quality product, won't be equivalent to a high end multi hundred dollar yeti, but it's definitely hitting abot it's price range.

How does this compare to the JLab Talk mic that often goes on sale for $25?

I have a original yeti will this be an upgrade?
I am going to say doubtful. I don't have experience but the original yeti still sells for quite a bit more, even used.
