I bought this one two years ago along with a number of heavy chain types for our families scooters and bikes. This one compacts and carries the easiest if mounted with zip ties to a frame but opening it and trying to wind it through wheels/frames does take a bit more work than with chains. Much lighter than the heavy kryptonite chains for sure.
Btw, this one will open and fit more options than a standard u lock.

Personally I'll never understand the obsession to rate locks by LPL standards*. He is covertly picking the locks, anyone IRL who wants to steal a bike is going to be using brute force methods to take the item as fast as humanly possible. The locking mechanism matters nothing to that individual.

*Don't get me wrong, his videos and skills are legit, but your average thief isn't carrying around a pick set, is not concerned with unobtrusive opening methods, and certainly does not practice picking a lock a dozen times (off camera) before that 60 second video on YT. They are unlocking windows with rocks, opening doors by kicking them in, and cutting off chains with bolt cutters.

It actually took LockPickingLawyer more than a minute to get this one open, so it must be a decent lock. The lock in the video has a different key, so it might not be the exact same lock.

I've gotten so used to "No Keys", it would be difficult to go to this. Cars use your phone, home uses codes. Does anyone have a link to a No Key version?
