W86TQPD8 still seems to work. If you're using the Amazon app you might be missing the step of tapping on the arrow that appears in the promo code box to apply the code (before tapping the Continue button).

I don't trust off brand batteries especially from China. Experienced too many of them having really short lifespans and leakage issues.

These are high quality batteries. The brand is indeed trustworthy in China. I bought this 48-ct last time a few years ago. Not a single battery had any leak or other issues. They were sealed in 4-battery packs, total 12 packs. This is pretty neat as you only need to open the seal of 4 batteries at a time and leave others still sealed.
