Does anyone have real hands-on experience with these A11 tablets, I've used the smaller Galaxy "A" tablets, and they have been terribly laggy and almost unusable in my experience. I've owned the flagship Tab S series tablets 7, 8, and 10. Those run flawlessly, but cost way more. These are obviously less expensive, but is it worth buying is the question?
I have had both. Unless you just want an 8" "bookreader" I'd skip the A series. A few generation older S series will give you a much better screen, better processor, etc. Plus expandable storage means you don't even have to have the top end one. There are deals out there on the S ones.

Just got one when the 256gb went $270. I use mine to watch Prime Video and other streaming apps. It seems to lag every once in a while as if it lost wifi (something my Fire Tab almost never did), but it's fairly uncommon. I played a basic "matching" cell phone game on it and it was fine. I'd imagine using it for much more than this might be a stretch, but I don't know.

I bought a samsung A9+ from Amazon Renew (referb/return) and I was a little disappointed. Bought Oct 25, and a week ago the charging stopped. bad charging port. Only had 1 month warranty.
Odd request here. My dad suffers from Parkinson's and had to recently move on from his laptop as he couldn't operate it anymore without becoming frustrated. Would a tablet like this be something he could use? He's always spent a lot of his time on the computer doing fantasy baseball and I hate that he's just giving it up completely.
