Just so you know, if you use shop app, then they usually have 70-35/90-45 alike promotions for Shelly. Best I saw is 75-40.

I recently purchased some of these from a home automation website for ~$11 each. Check Google shopping unless you're tied to Amazon for some reason. Shipping wasn't free but since I bought a handful it was still way cheaper.

Is there a way to add a number pad for garage door opener to communicate directly so if a code is pressed it can open the door?

Yes from within the Shelly app, or integrate with Home Assistant and do it locally with an automation.

I do think so. The problem with price trackers is they don't show coupons. I have the receipts that show I paid less than $14 per this exact model in October 2025. The coupon was on for a while too, it wasn't some random one day thing. I'm on my phone now and can't see how to attach a screenshot, but if folks still call bs I got the receipts and will post.

They are great devices and probably worth the full retail price. My issue is, like many folks I'm just tired of this site becoming paid content for mediocre deals. Enshitification is real.

I know a lot of people try to keep IoT off their wifi, but Shelly devices have been the most reliable on my home network. I never think about them at all, because they always work.

But it needs a hub, right? Can't communicate with Alexa/Echo directly to achieve this or no direct connection either. I invested in YoLink because of their insane battery life and range but their hubs are proprietary that only work with their long range sensors.

Here it is, sold by Shelly USA. To my point, 17.50 was the normal price then. Not very long ago. Coupon was for 3.49 for each one. Ended up buying 6 all together.
