I've got 2 packs / 8 bulbs of these. They work pretty well and have good temperature scale. My main use case was to turn on/off a specific bulb. I also set them on the timer via the app for when I was out of town, but now I keep my porch ones on the timer regularly. It's a big confusing at first to set up the timer but once they're set up they work well.

Roku is primarily a personal data mining and monitization company that happens to sell streaming devices. They do this by selling your viewing data, sniffing your network, and capturing multiple screenshots of what you're viewing per second. Only the Amazon Fire Stick is more egregious. I can't wait to dig into how Roku is now violating our privacy with these light bulbs. You know they're collecting your data with these in some way.

Remember folks, if it's free (or cheap) it's you that is the product.

Mine were slightly flickering in some strange pattern, giving me the urge to drink Ovaltine…

Any (or most) app based product does that. Which is what I hate. I have merely few apps on my phone because of that. Otherwise I would stay away from these products.
