I just received my Steen jacket today ordered from a recent posting. Although the jacket itself is fine, it arrived stuffed in a small clear plastic bag with one tag on, one tag off but still inside the bag. It is not giftable quality, but okay to keep for yourself. In the same order I received a kid's Columbia jacket that was packaged well and gift quality.

The first item was a return that they packaged poorly. You can usually tell a return by things like this and a big sticker on it that says "LPN"

Amazon gives you the option - "reduce packaging" or "hide what's inside". This isn't new.
