Not sure what basis this is being made, I've made a few woot returns, and they weren't as easy as Amazon but they were largely without issue for me

Note that when you check out the "style" says "Open Box". I ordered but not sure what exactly I'll get, this price is actually less than what I paid for open box Magic Keyboard at micro center so we'll see if it truly is new

I did a couple returns on Woot and it went smoothly. They even let me keep one of them, although it was only a cheap Apple Watch band. I've done plenty of returns with Amazon over the years and it all goes smoothly as well, and sometimes they let me keep stuff while refunding me. I have no complaints about either of their return processes.

I ordered this in December and it was listed as new. When it arrived, the box was shrink wrapped and it didn't have those paper tabs you peel to open the box. Also, the keyboard was loose in the box and I could feel it moving around. I didn't bother opening it and I requested to return it. I was refunded without any issues.

Just FYI AppleCare for the Magic Keyboard and for accessories like the Apple Pencil (and even folio) are tied into your iPad AppleCare. I went through a replacement of that open box Micro Center Magic Keyboard due to a faulty charging thing and the person at the Apple Store told me those items don't carry individual AppleCare plans. You get the original warranty and then afterwards it's all handled through AppleCare apparently

As long as you have applecare on the ipad it covers it's accessories. I bought a refurb keyboard from BB before I bought my open box ipad from BB. Called apple support and had them link the keyboard to the ipad, they just veridied SNs and took a couple minutes. Normally I don't care much for extended warranties but when I read it will cover the keyboard as well I figured it was worth it.
